Azeroth Watch (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a fan-made, unofficial companion app for tracking World of Warcraft’s Race to World First. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it’s used.
Device push token. If you enable notifications, Apple assigns your device a push
notification token. We send this token to a server we operate (a Cloudflare Worker at
rwf-feed-push.rwf-feed.workers.dev) solely so we can deliver push notifications to your
device — new coverage posts, close-call alerts, World First kill announcements, and WoW news,
based on the categories you enable in Settings. This token is not linked to your name, Apple
ID, email, or any other identity, is never shared with or sold to third parties, and is never
used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Live Activity token. If you turn on the Live Activity from Settings (showing the race leader’s current boss on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island), Apple assigns that Live Activity its own separate push token, distinct from the device push token above. We send this token to the same server, solely so we can push content updates to that Live Activity as the race leader’s status changes. Same handling as the device push token: not linked to your identity, never shared or sold, never used for advertising or tracking, and removed from our server when you turn the Live Activity off or Apple reports the token invalid.
Nothing else. The app does not require or support account creation or sign-in. It does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any other personal information. It does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking technology.
The app displays data from Raider.IO (race coverage, standings, boss progress) and Wowhead (WoW news), and lets you open links to those sites and to Twitch (for World First kill VODs) in an in-app browser. Visiting those sites is subject to their own privacy policies, which we don’t control. We recommend reviewing Raider.IO’s privacy policy and Wowhead’s privacy policy if you have questions about their data practices.
Device push tokens are retained only as long as needed to deliver notifications, and are automatically removed from our server if Apple reports the token as no longer valid (for example, after you uninstall the app). To stop receiving notifications and have your token removed, disable notifications in the app’s Settings or uninstall the app.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, so this applies equally regardless of age. The app is not directed at children and contains no mechanism to collect personal information from any user.
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the app’s App Store listing.
